We have been guiding and outfitting in the Holy Cross Wilderness and the backcountry of the Frying Pan River Valley within the White River National Forest for years. We are a full time, registered, bonded and insured guide & outfitting company operating under special use permits on the White River National Forest, in game management units 44, 444, 47, and 45. Our company specializes in outfitted Drop Camps for Elk and Mule Deer. We offer quality hunts and personalized service in some of the best Elk and Mule Deer country in Colorado.
We conduct outfitted drop camps during the archery, muzleloading and rifle Deer & Elk seasons for hunters that prefer a more do-it-themselves type hunt. The terrain located around our camps is rugged, requiring that the hunters be in excellent physical condition.
All of the Drop Camps are located in the backcountry accessed by horseback and pack string. These are high success camps located in excellent Elk and Mule Deer country. Our Outfitted Drop Camps are pre-set tent camps that include: wood stoves, firewood, cooking & eating utensils, cots & foam sleeping pads, lanterns & fuel, propane cook tops & propane, cooking & dining tables and latrine facilities. Each camp is checked a minimum of every three days and all game is packed out to either the meat processor or cold storage.
Our Outfitted Drop Camp fees DO NOT include: food, guides, personal gear, horses left in camp, hunting license fees, field preparation of game, meat processing & taxidermy fees and shipping.
