#1 LONE CONE RANCH
This property sits at the base of Lone Cone Peak at an elevation of 8,000-9,000 feet and is surrounded by private ranches on all sides. These ranches maintain a large resident herd of elk, mule deer, and bear in the summer and fall. Game moves back and forth constantly between these ranches during hunting season. This ranch is 1/3 to 1/2 wooded with mostly aspen and some spruce. A small modern cabin is available to rent on this proerty.

#2 DISAPPOINTMENT CREEK RANCH
This property is at the head of Diappointment Creek and runs to the Northwest corner of Groundhog Lake. It includes the creek itself, beaver poinds, bogs, aspen groves, oakbrush and large bunchgrass areas. It maintains a resident herd and sits at a prime crossing area for game.

#3 GROUNDHOG LAKE RANCH
This 4,500 acre ranch runs from below the timberline of Groundhog Peak through the spruce trees and grassy parks. Then drops down the mountain through aspen groves to large bunch grass ridges dissected with creeks and beaver ponds finally ending up on the Northeastern shores of Groundhog Lake. This property borders the National Forest on the North and East and is a major route for game as they leave the National Forest from snow or hunting pressure.

#4 BEAR CREEK RANCH
This 7,000 acre ranch starts in the head of the Disappointment Valley (elevation 7,500 ft). This part of the property is comprised of long grassy valleys dissected by pine and oak covered ridges. The property then runs through Bear Creek and up the Northeast side of South Mountain (elevation 10,000 ft.). The East side of the mountain is covered with aspen groves, oak brush hillsides and large grassy parks. The North side of the mountain is a dense aspen, spruce and choke cherry hillside.

#5 RINGCONE RANCH
This property also sits at the head of the Disappointment Valley North of Flattop Mountain. It consists of 1,280 acres of grassy valleys dissected by low ridges of thick oak brush, wild hawthorn, choke cherry bushes and some aspen trees. All this cover and abundant water make this a good property for resident game as well as a place for game to hold up as the seasons progress. This ranch is also a natural route for game as they are pressured by hunters and/or snow during the seasons.

#6 NORTHSIDE RANCH
This property sits South of North Mountain in the disappointment Valley. It has pine covered ridges, irrigated fields, and grassy valleys. Disappointment creek also runs through this property. It has approximately 2,500 acres and has a good road system through and around the property.

#7 DOLORES HILL RANCH
This ranch is a few miles North of Dolores, Colorado, close to McPhee Lake and consists of 640 acres of thick brush and small openings and contains some very large mule deer bucks. When the high country gets snow this area fills with elk and becomes excellent elk hunting also. The road through this property also allows access to the house creek rim of the San Juan National Forest. This property will only be hunted the last three rifle seasons.

The deadline for tags requiring the draw is April 1. These draw hunts are Muzzle loader, Rifle #1, and ALL MULE DEER> I would be happy to assist you in drawing if you would like. A 50% deposit is required to book a hunt. I will provide someone to show you the boundaries and acquaint you with the property and explain hunting strategies a day or so before each hunt.
