Colorado provides a wide variety of big game hunting opportunities. Hunters can choose from early high country deer or late plains deer seasons to muzzleloading rifle, archery and rifle seasons for deer, elk and antelope. Some hunting units have antler restrictions, some units offer licenses only through the Division's computer drawing.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1949, must have a hunter education course card or certificate before applying for or purchasing any hunting or trapping license.
